Harewood remembers those taken from us in War.

Before the skatepark, before the sports centre, before the astroturf field, before the old lacrosse box, and even before the band room: this birds-eye-view photo shows what John Barsby School looked like in 1970.

Step back in time to 1966 and take a drive through Nanaimo.

The Fun Centre was the place all the kids in Harewood wanted to hang out.

This video of Nanaimo's harbour in about 1968 shows that things haven't changed a heck of a lot down there.

This is a cool collage of old signs from before Harewood and Wellington were dissolved and amalgamated into Nanaimo in 1975.
