Video of Nanaimo Harbour in 1968

This video of Nanaimo's harbour shows how different things were in around 1968.

The footage from BC History includes shots of boats in the marina, the famous Bastion, and the CPR Princess of Vancouver, which ferried folks between downtown Nanaimo and downtown Vancouver from 1955 to 1973.

One major change noticeable in the video is the parking lot area where The Port Theatre now sits. Wharf Street is visible behind it before the Coast Bastion Hotel was built.
